Career
Aidan Reay has an expansive business and property practice and is often sought out for difficult and technical cases, including being instructed to deal with appeals from first instance decisions.
Aidan regularly appears in court and has extensive experience of trial, interim applications and appeal proceedings as well as undertaking judicial review (in appropriate areas) and appearing in other tribunals.
Aidan is a robust and forensic advocate with a keen eye for detail and a wide breadth of legal knowledge.
Education:
Aidan read law with law studies in France at Brasenose College, Oxford where he graduated with a first class degree and a university prize before then working as a stagiaire at the European Court of Justice (as it then was) in Luxembourg and undertaking a masters degree at Clare College, Cambridge.
Aidan completed the BPTC at City University in 2011 and was graded outstanding, coming within the top 10 in the year.
Aidan was awarded the Bedingfield Scholarship for his BPTC studies by Gray's Inn. This was Gray's Inn's top scholarship for the BPTC. During pupillage, Aidan was also awarded the Reid Scholarship by Gray's Inn, one of only four scholarships that the Inn awards for pupillage.
