Alan Ross, KC is the Regional Managing Partner of BLG’s Calgary office and Chair of the firm’s US practice. Alan practises administrative and regulatory law with a focus on both contentious and transactional matters. He specializes in the areas of pipeline transmission, oil and natural gas, renewables (solar and wind), energy transition technologies, sustainable infrastructure and electricity. Alan has significant experience with regulators in the UK, EU, and the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He has over 25 years’ experience at the provincial, federal and international levels.
Career
Called to the Bars of Alberta, Ontario, New York and England and Wales. In 2020 he received a King's Counsel designation.
