Career
Specialization in Competition Law (Carlos III University of Madrid, 2023); Master of Laws (Harvard University, 1988); Licenciado en Derecho (Universidad de Costa Rica, 1985). Extensive experience advising domestic and foreign clients doing business in Costa Rica. Previously served in public sector positions including the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Board of the General Superintendence of Financial Institutions (SUGEF) and the Competition Commission (COPROCOM). Adjunct professor of Competition Law.
