Career

In 1994 Aldo was appointed public prosecutor, working in various offices of the Dutch Public Prosecution Service, making financial and economic criminal cases his particular area of expertise. Aldo was one of the founders of the prosecutions department specialized in corporate crime.

In 2005 Aldo left the Dutch Public Prosecution Service to join the Bar. As a defense counsel, he has a wealth of experience handling criminal cases of a financial, economic, tax and environmental nature. Used to working in an international corporate context, Aldo has been a successful defense counsel in several high-profile, complex fraud cases. Aldo also has an impressive track record of complex internal investigations into delicate issues in the corporate world.

Aldo is a member of the ICC’s anti-corruption committee, a member of the Human Rights Watch International Justice Circle and Integrity Officer of the International Bar Association.
