Alessandro has worked with Tax Law, Customs Law, and Social Security Law for more than 20 years and is widely acknowledged for his expertise in domestic and foreign tax matters. Actively involved in advocacy before Brazilian administrative tribunals, such as the Administrative Tax Appeal Council (CARF), State Taxpayers’ Councils, as well as before the Federal Regional Courts, the Superior Court of Justice and the Supreme Federal Court.
He has published articles and legal opinions in specialized magazines. Alessandro is author of the books "O Dever Fundamental de Recolher Tributos no Estado Democrático de Direito", “Estudos de Custeio Previdenciário” and "Novos Estudos de Custeio Previdenciário" e "Processo Legislativo Tributário Federal e bloqueios à concretização do projeto constitucional".
PhD in Public Law from Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC-MG). Master Degree in Tax Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). Specialization in Business Law from PUC-MG and LL.B. from UFMG. Professor of Tax Law in the Post-Graduation courses at IBMEC and PUC/MG.
