Alexis J. Gilman is a Partner in the Antitrust & Competition Group of Crowell & Moring LLP, based in Washington, DC. Alexis advises and represents clients on a broad range of antitrust matters, including compliance counseling and training, premerger notifications, merger reviews and clearances, government investigations, and litigation, with a focus on representing merging parties and third parties in merger investigations by the Federal Trade Commission, Department of Justice, and state attorneys general. His experience spans a wide-range of industries, including healthcare, retail, consumer goods, food and beverage, distribution, casinos and gaming, technology, and telecommunications. From 2010-2017, he worked in the Mergers IV Division of the FTC, including as a deputy in the Division from 2012-2014 and as head of the Division from 2014-2017. Before joining the FTC, Alexis was an associate in the antitrust group at an international law firm. Alexis has been recognized by a number of attorney-rating organizations, is a frequent speaker at ABA, AHLA, and other organization programs, and is often sought out by publications for comments about antitrust developments.
