Career

A lawyer graduated from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (2005), holding a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property and Competition Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (2012). Further specialized through courses in Intellectual Property (WIPO), European Business Law (University of Alicante), Consumer Protection (Indecopi), Administrative Law and Competition Law (Osinerg), Arbitration (Lima Chamber of Commerce), Marketing (Centre), among others.

Renowned for expertise in strategies related to bureaucratic barriers and administrative simplification, regulatory improvement, food law, intellectual property, antitrust, unfair competition, advertising law, consumer protection, and data privacy.

At Indecopi, played a pivotal role in establishing the Sanctioning Area of the Elimination of Bureaucratic Barriers Commission, contributed to the drafting of legislative reforms, and represented Peru at both national and international conferences. Additionally, served as a member of the Technical Secretariats for the Peruvian Trademark Commission and the Consumer Protection Commission.

In the private sector, affiliated with law firms specializing in Intellectual Property, Competition, and Commerce, and successfully served as the legal advisor responsible for anti-piracy efforts during the 2019 Pan American Games. Also provided consultancy services for the design of administrative rules and procedures, regulatory improvement, single window, intellectual property, and bureaucratic barriers for prominent organizations, including the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank (WB), the German Development Cooperation Fund (GIZ), the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum, and Indecopi.

Professor at multiple postgraduate universities nationwide, recognized author of articles on specialized topics, and frequent panelist at both academic and professional conferences and seminars.
