More than 200 published articles and a dozen monographs. Her second book, GUIDE TO KEY LEGAL ISSUES IN MANAGED CARE QUALITY, was published in 1996 by Faulkner and Gray. She co-authors WestGroup's book MEDICARE AND MEDICAID FRAUD AND ABUSE. She is on multiple periodical editorial boards and is the contributing editor for WestGroup's annual Health Law Handbook which she launched in 1989 and writes for every year in addition to engaging other authors with her. It is an entirely new book every year now in its 35th edition

Experience

served as President of the National Health Lawyers Association (now the American Health Lawyers Association) from 1992-1993. She served as Chairman of the Board of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), the managed care accrediting organization, re-elected to serve five terms, from 1998 through 2002 and a member of the Board for twelve years from 1992-2003. A founding Design Team member since 2004, she served as the first and only Chairman of the Board of PROMETHEUS Payment® Inc., a not for profit organization created to implement a new model for provider payment. She was the first Chairman of the Board of the Healthcare Incentives Improvement Institute, Inc., (HCI3) the not for profit which is the merger of Bridges to Excellence, Inc. and PROMETHEUS Payment Inc. and she remains on the Board.

She has served on four committees of the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine studying issues in utilization management and clinical guidelines and has consulted to the federal Agency for Health Care Policy and Research, the General Accounting Office, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Congressional Budget Office and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
