Chair of the Firm's regional Aviation practice and Co-Chair of the Competition practice.
Has advised international airlines and corporations on legal matters in Central America, among them aviation, corporate, competition.
Directed administrative procedures representing many companies before the Competition Agency in Costa Rica.
Advised on aircraft financing transactions and application of the Cape Town Convention on International Interests on Mobile Equipment and its Protocol on Matters Specific to Aircraft Equipment. Has directed regulatory filings for air carriers and provided expert advice on aviation issues in Central America to other companies in the aviation industry.
Provides legal advice on mergers and acquisitions processes, particularly regarding compliance with mandatory notifications before competition authorities and has extensive experience in competition matters in the region, both in preventive advice and contentious processes.
Has held different positions in the Board of Directors of the International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA) between 2010 and 2021, including the Presidency in 2018-2019. She was also a Board member of the International Airlines Association (ALA) in Costa Rica, between 2017 and 2021 and served as Comptroller of the Costa Rica Foreign Investment Agency (CINDE) from 2018 to 2021.
Intern at the Attorney General's Office in Costa Rica (1998-1999). She worked on the preparation of legal opinions on issues of public law, administrative and constitutional, in addition to preparing the Attorney General Office's formal opinion to the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court on filings challenging the constitutionality of legal provisions.
