Alysa focuses on strategic counseling and management of distinctive signs, patents, and copyright for national and international clients, both in Ecuador and in other jurisdictions. She oversees one of the teams in the intellectual property department.
Her experience in the public sphere includes her role as legal expert at the Ecuadorian Intellectual Property Institute (IEPI) in the distinctive signs and patents department and in the Intellectual Property Committee.
She worked in a long-standing law firm in Lima, Peru, where she focused on intellectual property specializing in patents and trademarks both in Peruvian and Andean Community jurisdictions.
She specializes in Branding and Brand Strategy, allowing her to better understand the client's needs, thereby offering strategic legal advice in marketing, and to have a solid foundation in trademark litigation.
She is co-founder of the Women in IP committee of Ecuadorian Association of Intellectual Property (AEPI) and member of the Women in IP committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), proactively championing diversity.
