Adv. Amir Cohen-Dor, Managing Partner and head of the Maritime, Aviation and Transportation Department at S. Friedman, Abramson & Co., is an internationally renowned expert with over 35 years of experience in Maritime Law.

Amir’s expertise encompasses all facets of maritime law, both onshore and offshore. His practice covers a broad range of matters, including cargo damage claims, insurance disputes, vessel collisions (including pilotage and salvage), general average, and civil and criminal lawsuits related to marine pollution. He also handles disputes concerning creditors’ liens before the Admiralty Court, mortgage enforcements, and serves as court-appointed receiver in vessel auctions. Amir also handles complex charter party disputes in its capacity as a supporting member of the London Maritime Arbitration Association (LMAA). Amir's activities involve negotiating and drafting of Charter Parties, joint ventures, and slot charters for major shipping operators. Amir is the legal advisor of the Israeli Chamber of Shipping, providing day to day legal advice to the local shipping agencies.
