Career

Ana Elena is associate of Galicia Abogados since 2021 and she is currently part of the tax practice team.

She has previously worked in tax and administrative litigation as well as in tax estate planning and wealth management at several specialized Mexican firms.

Ana Elena is a tax advisor in national and international tax law. In recent years she has been specialized in consulting and representing clients in tax matters, both in Mexico and abroad, on various types of operations and transactions. Her expertise is mainly focused on estate planning of individuals and legal persons as well as for enterprises, in order provide an adequate protection, disposition and diversification of their assets, as well as the advice in different corporate restructurings, mergers, spin-offs and acquisitions.

She is a lawyer graduated at Universidad Panamericana (2016) and a Master in Tax Law by the same university. She also has an L.L.M. in International Tax Law at WU University in Vienna, Austria and has studied various postgraduate courses at national and foreign universities, such as NYU (New York, USA), Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid, Spain) and at ITAM (CDMX, Mexico).

Ana Elena is an active member of the “International Fiscal Association” (IFA) of the Mexican branch, she has authored several publications both nationally and abroad and is currently a teacher of various subjects at the Universidad Panamericana. She is ranked by Chambers and Partners as Associate to Watch in Private Net Worth Mexico since 2018.
