Ann Beth Stebbins concentrates primarily on mergers and acquisitions. She has extensive experience in a variety of transactions representing acquirers, targets, boards of directors, special committees and financial advisors. Ann Beth is adept at navigating the legal and business landscapes of multiple jurisdictions, and seamlessly coordinating advice to clients who are structuring and implementing global transactions.
Ann Beth also advises financial sponsors and has completed numerous complex transactions for these clients, including acquisitions, exits, platform add-ons and co-investments.
Ann Beth is a pragmatic and commercially-minded advisor. Her strong transactional background allows her to understand the complexity of deals from all angles. She also has a strong grounding in business concepts, having started her career as a banker. During this time, Ann Beth saw the impact that lawyers had in defining and executing business strategies, which subsequently led her to pursue both her J.D. and M.B.A. Understanding both the legal and business perspectives of a deal continues to work to her clients' advantage, as Ann Beth can easily identify the objectives her clients are seeking to achieve in each transaction.
Outside of her practice, Ann Beth is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center where she teaches an M&A seminar. She co-chairs the Public Company Subcommittee of the American Bar Association M&A Committee. She is also a frequent lecturer and participates in numerous conferences on topics related to her practice.
