Anna Dilnot has a broad international commercial disputes practice spanning both court-based litigation and arbitration, and the cross-over between the two. She has extensive experience in civil fraud and asset recovery, including applications for interim relief, as well as in challenging international disputes involving complex questions of conflicts of laws, jurisdiction and state immunity. Anna is an experienced trial and appellate advocate: both before and since taking Silk in 2021, Anna has acted and led counsel teams in a series of high-value and well-known cases, including: in court and arbitral proceedings for France as part of its long-running dispute with the London Steamship Mutual, for Deutsche Bank in the receivership over the assets of the Central Bank of Venezuela claimed by the Maduro and Guiado administrations, for the BMF securities issuers in the committal proceedings against a former financier who carried out a years-long corporate assault on the group, and for certain defendants in the substantial Thai fraud case: Suppipat v Narongdej.

When a junior, she appeared in numerous heavy fraud cases in the Commercial Court: Kazakhstan Kagazy v Zhunus, Accident Exchange, Picard v Kingate Funds (Madoff) and National Bank Trust v Yurov. In 2019 she also obtained the £350 million freezing order against the anstalts and trusts of Farkhad Akhmedov in the family division proceedings: Akhmedova v Akhmedov.

Anna is a former solicitor, having qualified in 2002, being called to the Bar in 2008, and taking Silk in 2021. She is also called to the Bar of the BVI.
