Anne Crochet is the Practice Group Leader for Taylor Porter’s Energy and Environmental team. Anne Crochet represents business and industry by providing environmental regulatory compliance advice, securing environmental permits, defending enforcement actions, and protecting interests through litigation.

Career

Ms. Crochet counsels generators, manufacturers, recyclers, transporters, and owners/operators of treatment, storage, and disposal facilities in the areas of air, water, solid and hazardous waste management, and soil and groundwater remediation. She also advises as to environmental obligations, protections, and permit transfers in commercial transactions. She has extensive experience defending USEPA CERCLA and enforcement actions and LDEQ remediation and enforcement actions, as well as citizens suits, zoning challenges, and third-party actions against industrial facilities. She has experience in obtaining, defending, and challenging permits issued by LDEQ and LDNR Office of Conservation.

Ms. Crochet’s practice includes agency adjudicatory actions; injunctive, declaratory relief, and damages actions in state and federal district courts; and appellate actions in all forums. She has extensive experience in media relations and crisis management.

Ms. Crochet is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association (Past Chair, Environmental Law Section), American Bar Association (Environmental, Energy & Resources Section), Louisiana State Law Institute Council, Louisiana Association of Business & Industry (Environmental Council), Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance, and the Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA).
