Prior to establishing LATIEF & CO, Anton has successfully developed the Energy, Project & Infrastructure and the Banking & Finance Practice Groups of one of Indonesia prominent law firms and had the opportunity to lead the Indonesia Legal Department of a French oil supermajor after his assignment in their Gas and Power Division in Paris, France.
In the energy sector he had been involved in the development, operation or termination of major Indonesia's and international oil and gas projects. Among others, these projects include the Yamal LNG project in Russia, Shah Deniz Phase 2 project in Azerbaijan, and projects in Indonesia such as the Mahakam PSC (operated by TOTAL), the Rokan PSC (operated by CHEVRON), the Sakakemang PSC (operated by REPSOL), the Bontang LNG (operated by PT Badak) and the development of the Abadi LNG project (operated by INPEX). In that regard, he has assisted international oil companies in negotiating and finalizing the acquisition/disposal of direct or indirect PSC interests, the termination or transfer of operatorship of Indonesia PSCs, joint venture agreements, project financing related agreements, construction and use of facilities agreements and the natural gas, LPG, LNG and crude oil sales and purchase agreements.
