Career
Managing Partner Aram Orbelyan leads the firm’s dispute resolution practice. He represents clients' interests in civil and administrative proceedings, as well as commercial and investment arbitrations, provides advice and performs representation in proceedings related to international law (including international courts and quasi-judicial bodies). Aram Orbelyan is also involved in deal signing projects, including providing advice, participating in the negotiation process, conducting legal audits, etc.
He obtained his attorney's license in 2009. Joined the Concern Dialog team in 2009.
Aram Orbelyan's internationally recognized expertise has consistently earned him placement in groups by Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, Legal500 and other esteemed organizations that rate individual lawyers.
As an author, he contributes to internationally renowned comparative legal guides, representing Armenian legislation and practice on behalf of Concern Dialog.
Previously, he served as the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia (RA) and worked with the International Committee of the Red Cross.
In addition to practical work, Aram Orbelyan has been teaching at the RA Advocate Academy and the French University in Armenia for many years.
Aram Orbelyan is a board member of the Arbitrators’ Association of the Republic of Armenia, and is included in the lists of arbitrators of several arbitration centres in Armenia and abroad.
