He specializes in servicing the restructuring and reorganization of enterprises, advising on structured financing and M&A transactions. His practice also includes advising on financial markets law, banking law and corporate matters. He has worked for the largest entities on the market in the banking, financial, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, construction and chemical sectors. He is competent in Polish, EU and American law.
Before Loewen, in the years 1994-1999 he worked at the law firm of Hogan & Hartson. From 1999 he was associated with Weil, Gotshal & Manges, where in 2006 he became a partner and the head of the financing and restructuring department. In 2017-2019 he cooperated with the LSW law firm. Since 2020 he ran an individual consulting practice, and in 2023 he joined Loewen as a partner where he deals with financing and restructuring matters, and also advises on M&A transactions, corporate law and regulations regarding listed companies.
He served as an adviser to the largest entities operating on the Polish and international markets in areas such as banking, finance and insurance, media and telecommunications, pharmaceutical and chemical, mining and heavy industry, as well as construction and real estate. Advising his clients, he conducted many significant and prestigious transactions in every area of his interests.
He graduated from law at the University of Warsaw, and British Law Centre at the University of Warsaw, he also studied at the Utrecht University. He graduated from Harvard Law School at Harvard University where he received a LL.M title (Master of Laws). In 1998, he qualified as a legal adviser in Poland, and in 2003 he became an Attorney and Counsellor at law in the state of New York. In 2018, he completed an Advanced Management Programme at the IESE Business School in Barcelona and Warsaw.
In 2003 he conducted a series of training courses for judges on bankruptcy law commissioned by the Minister of Justice. In 2005-2010 he taught law at the Executive MBA and International MBA at the Business School of the Warsaw University of Technology. He was an arbitrator in proceedings before the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce. In the years 1994-1999 he worked at the law firm of Hogan & Hartson.
