Avi Weitzman is Co-Chair of the Complex Litigation & Arbitration practice at Paul Hastings, and a partner in the Investigations and White Collar Defense practice based in New York.
Avi represents corporations and individuals in high-profile criminal and regulatory investigations, and litigates all types of commercial disputes in courts throughout the U.S. He has successfully served as lead counsel in 15+ high-profile white collar and civil trials. To this day, Avi has continued his unblemished record of avoiding a prison sentence for every criminal defense client he’s represented.
Avi served in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for 7 years. A senior member of the SDNY’s Securities Fraud Task Force, Avi investigated and prosecuted a wide range of federal securities fraud offenses and coordinated parallel civil proceedings with the SEC. He is a recipient of the AG’s Distinguished Service Award for his work on the Raj Rajaratnam insider trading case.
