Pryor Cashman Partner Avram Morell, a member of the firm’s Immigration Group, is widely recognized as one of the premier immigration attorneys working in the field today. Many of Avi’s clients come from the financial services sector, including U.S. and multinational banks, insurance companies, securities brokers/dealers, and private equity funds. He also counsels designers and marketers of luxury fashion products and retail goods, along with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, research institutes, and music and entertainment companies. Additionally, he represents businesses and individuals in matters before U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State, and the Department of Labor. Avi’s wide range of services for clients includes counselling on recruiting and hiring foreign national employees, and facilitating the participation of foreign employees in post-graduate training programs; transferring key employees from abroad and counselling on the immigration-related impact of corporate decisions and agreements; and helping to staff company headquarters with intra-company transferees and new hires. Avi also has special expertise in guiding employers in ensuring I-9 compliance and advising on immigration-related discrimination.
