Practice Areas
Benjamin Geslison is an experienced trial and appellate attorney actively practicing in state and federal courts at all levels. He principally represents large and mid-sized companies in taxpayer disputes with state and local governments. His scope of representation extends from the pre-audit stage through administrative review and at all levels of judicial review. Mr. Geslison also represents clients in a variety of commercial disputes and constitutional law matters. He has first-chair experience in trying jury trials to verdict in both state and federal district court and handles appellate matters in state and federal courts of appeals, including the Supreme Court of Texas and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Career
Mr. Geslison is currently special counsel in the tax department of Baker Botts L.L.P. in Houston, Texas. He is licensed to practice in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Wyoming. Before attending Harvard Law School, Mr. Geslison worked for several years as a business consultant for Accenture, advising several Silicon Valley tech giants as they optimized their business processes and systems.
