Ben Riley has spent 30 years litigating trying intellectual property and other cases. He has tried 30 cases to verdict, including 16 months in trial. In 2021, he and his Bartko team won a defense verdict after a three-week trial, defeating a $250 million claim of alleged oral inheritance contract. In 2023, Ben and his team won another defense verdict after a six-week trial, this time involving $700 million of community property and trust claims. He has twice been named as a California Lawyer of the Year and a Top 100 California Lawyer. Ben also litigates business and high net worth trust cases, and is ranked by Chambers as a top California lawyer Private Wealth Disputes as well.
Ben served as the President of the Northern California Chapter of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and was selected by the judges of the Northern District of California as a Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit.
