Career
Co-leader of Jones Day's global Antitrust & Competition Practice and a highly experienced European antitrust lawyer, Bernard Amory has represented major entities in a wide variety of sectors (including technology, financial services, consumer goods, manufacturing, automotive, transport, telecoms and media), many on a long-standing basis, on competition representations in merger control, cartel, abuses of dominance and State aid matters before the European Commission, European courts, and national authorities and courts. He served as Official, Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission (1989-91). Also an arbitrator, Bernard is on the European Competition Journal's advisory board and served as council member of the International Bar Association.
