With nearly 20 years of experience as a Lawyer, Bobson Coulibaly has negotiated and assisted clients on commercial contracts in accordance with the OHADA regulation. She has acted as counsel for various multinational companies in relation to numerous global disposal and acquisitions. She also regularly advises clients on the legal framework for investing in Francophone Africa.
Bobson COULIBALY has:
- Extensive experience in corporate management and commercial regulations. More specifically, she is counsel to multinationals, state companies and professional associations, working in the energy and mining, transport and financial services sectors.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating contracts in the context of acquisitions, financing, restructuring or privatizations on behalf of public entities (States or state companies) and private operators (sponsors, lenders, investment funds) relating to projects in the energy and mining sector.
- Experience in legislative reforms, having actively participated in the rereading of the Mining Code of Burkina Faso and its implementing decrees within the team of consultants from November 2010 to November 2011 as well as in the rereading of the mining code community and its implementing regulations from 2015 to 2016. In this context, she participated in and led numerous workshops and seminars aimed at understanding and popularizing the content of said instruments.
She is currently Secretary of the Burkina Bar Association (2021-2024) and was also elected member of the International Court of Arbitration of the ICC for the 2021-2024 term. Bobson COULIBALY held the position of member of the Council of the Burkina Bar Association in charge of training (2015-2018) and was National President of the Junior Chamber International – Burkina Faso in 2014.
Feature as a leader in her field, Bobson Coulibaly co-founded SCP Yanogo Bobson. She heads the corporate, mining and financing departments.
