Career
Bonnie Klugman is a seasoned attorney specializing in all facets of the employment relationship, with a particular emphasis on executive and equity compensation and general employee-related matters, as well as their intersection with corporate transactions. Bonnie represents and advises companies, executives, and directors, including management teams, throughout the entire employment lifecycle.
Bonnie's practice encompasses a wide range of services, including guiding clients through the initial hiring process, developing and implementing incentive compensation arrangements, drafting and negotiating employment and separation agreements, drafting and evaluating noncompete and other restrictive covenants, establishing comprehensive company policies, handling employee relations issues and investigations, and addressing corporate governance matters. Additionally, Bonnie has a commendable track record of successfully mediating employment discrimination claims on behalf of the Westchester Human Rights Commission.
Bonnie commenced her legal career within the corporate department of Shearman & Sterling, where she gained invaluable experience in mergers and acquisitions, bank finance and bankruptcy. After three and a half years, she transitioned to the executive compensation and employee benefits team at Shearman, further expanding her knowledge in these specialized areas. Bonnie later accepted a position as the VP-Employment Counsel at WebMD, one of Shearman’s clients. In 2007, driven by her desire to return to private practice, Bonnie established her own law practice and subsequently joined Becker Glynn where she has been a partner since 2009.
With a wealth of extensive and diverse expertise, Bonnie is adept at providing practical solutions that yield positive resolutions for her clients. She takes great pride in the enduring relationships she has cultivated throughout her career, often spanning multiple years and numerous employment transitions.
