Brian Feldman

Brian M. Feldman is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York (SDNY), who defends clients in Federal and New York State investigations, most frequently in healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit markets, and often under federal and state False Claims Acts. He has first-chaired jury, bench, administrative, and arbitral trials and has argued numerous appeals before federal and state appellate courts.

Brian founded a government and internal investigations practice after leaving his position as Senior Litigation Counsel at SDNY, where he handled civil and criminal fraud cases. Brian spearheaded the government’s efforts to hold lenders responsible following the 2008 mortgage crisis, bringing the first such case against Deutsche Bank and developing the playbook for cases recovering billions of dollars.

Brian’s private practice clients have ranged from individuals and nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies. In addition, Brian frequently provides pro bono representation at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, where he previously clerked.
