Career
Catalina joined the firm in 2005 and after completing her master's degree and professional experience abroad, she returned in 2012 to lead the Labor and Employment Team. She has more than 13 years of experience in labor law and social security. During that time, she has advised companies in a host of matters related to individual and collective labor law and social security issues.
Catalina is a graduate of the School of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and is admitted to practice in Colombia by the Consejo Superior de la Judicatura (2005) and in Spain by the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid (2008). She obtained a LL.M degree in International Legal Practice at Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, Spain. She also obtained an Executive Masters degree in Business Law from Centro de Estudios Garrigues, in collaboration with the Harvard Law School in Madrid, Spain. She worked during 4 years as an associate of the labor area at Garrigues in Madrid (Spain) where she advised and represented in court Spanish and foreign companies in matters related to individual, collective and social security law. Furthermore, she pursued additional studies in Labor Law and Social Security at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
