Practice Areas
Colin practices as an Advocate Attorney and handles diverse areas of civil law practice including corporate/commercial; securities regulation; insurance; land matters; administrative law; proceeds of crime/money laundering matters construction law and employment. He regularly represents clients in the High Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal; and has appeared before the Privy Council.
He also appears as Counsel in arbitrations and before Commissions of Enquiry such as the Commission of Enquiry into the Construction Sector of Trinidad and Tobago and the Commission of Enquiry into the Collapse of CL Financial Ltd. et al representing clients which have included inter alia the Attorney General and a multi-national accounting firm.
Career
Colin sat as a Temporary Judge of the High Court of Justice of Trinidad and Tobago from September 2007 to April 2008. He also served as a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Law Association from 2003 to 2007.
Colin was appointed Senior Counsel in May 2023.
Personal
He tutored at the Hugh Wooding Law School for 20 years in the area of Trial Advocacy, and is passionate about the traditions and responsibilities of the Legal Profession and committed to ensuring that these continue and are passed on to the younger members of the Profession.
