Career

With over 20 years of experience, Cristiane Manzueto handles the full spectrum of Intellectual Property and Data Protection work. Her practice includes developing IP strategy, management of IP assets and transactions involving intellectual property, including trademarks, patents, trade secrets, copyright, software, industrial designs, domain names and trade dress. Cristiane handles anticounterfeiting matters and judicial lawsuits in both State and Federal Courts. On the IP transactions side, Cristiane’s experience includes Technology Transfer, Software, Copyrights, & Franchising Agreements.

In the Data Protection field, Cristiane counsels clients in Brazil and other jurisdictions in Latin America. Her experience includes complete projects for compliance with the data protection legislation, the development of strategies to manage legal risks and to shape LATAM frameworks. She also assists clients with diagnostic reports, preparing and reviewing documents (contracts, policies, corporate rules, global corporate standards, codes of ethics), conducts privacy, data protection and cybersecurity training, among other activities related to Privacy and Data Protection.

Cristiane has strong experience advising on privacy and cybersecurity primarily focused on infrastructure, energy, manufacturing and financial industries. She frequently assists Clients in complex transactions involving privacy and the acquisition and divestiture of IP portfolios.

Cristiane is recommended in publications such as Análise Advocacia Mulher in the Digital segment, World Trademark Review 1000 as “Bronze Expert” and Chambers and Partners for Intellectual Property: Trademark, Copyright & Trade Secrets. Cristiane frequently gives lectures on IP and Data Privacy topics. Prior to joining the firm, Cristiane worked at prominent IP firms in Brazil and the UK.
