Eduardo Lima is a partner in the São Paulo office of Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown and a member of the Banking & Finance practice and Latin America and Global Projects groups.
Eduardo has more than 25 years' experience in completing domestic and cross-border financing transactions. He represents financial institutions, corporate clients, multilateral organizations, equity sponsors and private equity houses on complex financing transactions, banking regulatory and related matters, including structured finance deals, project financings, acquisition financings, syndicated and bilateral loans, margin loans, private equity and hedge fund financings, out-of-court debt restructurings, trade financings, supplier financings, receivables purchases and non-performing loan (NPL) transactions.
Often working across multiple jurisdictions, Eduardo has advised on high-profile cross border finance transactions in a wide range of sectors, including energy, oil and gas, and infrastructure. Named by Chambers Brazil and Global: Banking & Finance and Projects (2007 through 2023), The Legal 500 Latin America, IFLR, Latin Lawyer 250 and Who’s Who Legal Brazil and Global, Eduardo has led on some of the most innovative financing deals of recent years.
