Practice Areas
Daniel Haeberli is a partner in Homburger's Financial Market Regulation, Financing and Investment Products as well as Capital Markets teams and he is the co-head of Homburger's TechGroup.
A key focus of his practice is advising financial intermediaries and startups on FinTech related topics, the tokenization of securities, non-bankable assets as well as crypto currencies. Daniel is also an expert in digital capital markets transactions and DeFi projects.
Daniel has advised on Initial Coin Offerings, the structuring, issuance and listing of collateralized crypto-currency linked Exchange Trade Products (ETPs) listed on the Swiss securities exchanges SIX Swiss Exchange and BX Swiss and the tokenization of foreign exchange linked structured products. He has also advised SIX Group on the first Swiss dual part digital bond issuance on the new fully integrated and regulated Swiss digital financial infrastructure providing for atomic settlement.
Daniel is a member of the CMTA (the Swiss Capital Markets and Technology Association) working group "Tokenized Structured Products" and is advising a Swiss private bank on the tokenization of structured products.

Qualified in 1996. Joined Homburger in 2001, Partner since 2009.

Swiss Bar Association and Zurich Bar Association.
Head of "Legal & Regulation" at the Swiss Structured Products Association SSPA. The SSPA representing the Swiss structured products industry. With an investment volume of around CHF 200 billion, Switzerland is the world’s largest market for structured products.
Member of the Appeals Board of the Swiss securities exchange BX Swiss and of the BX Digital, the Swiss digital asset exchange with decentralized settlement infrastructure.
Publications
Daniel Haeberli regularly publishes on financial markets regulatory matters, including the tokenization of securities and blockchain and cryptocurrency regulations. He is a co-author of the legal section "The Swiss FinTech Environment" of the annual IFZ FinTech Study published by the Lucerne University of Applied Science and Arts (2016-2024).
