Career
Since taking silk in 2006, David has continued to focus on his core areas of professional negligence and commercial Chancery work. He particularly relishes the challenge of acting for or against professionals in areas which call on his expertise in the underlying issues of property, company law, insolvency and accounts. He has wide experience of both litigation and mediation, as well as advisory work. He sits part-time as a deputy High Court judge in the Chancery Division, is a Bencher of Gray’s Inn and an advocacy trainer for the Inn and has chaired disciplinary tribunals for the Bar Standards Board. He has been called to the Bar of Gibraltar and he acted in the first fraud case to come to trial in the Abu Dhabi Global Market Court in 2022
