With more than 25 years of experience and deep expertise in intellectual property law, David S. Harper, Ph.D., counsels clients on patent preparation, prosecution and portfolio development. His practice comprises all phases of U.S. and foreign patent and trademark prosecution, licensing and other agreement work, counseling, due diligence analysis, infringement analysis, and invalidity analysis.

Dr. Harper works with a range of clients – including startups, large companies, universities and nonprofit institutions – to protect valuable technology. His has particular expertise in the areas of: biologicals, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, biochemistry, cell biology, immunology

molecular biology, and, medical devices.

With a Ph.D. in molecular biology and a background in research, Dr. Harper’s unique experience allows him to better understand his clients’ innovative technologies.
