Practice Areas
Deborah represents businesses of all sizes and individuals in intellectual property litigation, including patent, trade secret, copyright, and trademark matters, in arbitration, and in and complex commercial litigation matters such as antitrust and contract disputes. She also acts as outside IP counsel for national and international clients, assisting with all aspects of intellectual property portfolio management. Deborah has assisted and advised clients in complex patent suits across virtually all technical areas, including chemistry, software, mechanical and biotech, through the beginning stages, Markman proceedings, to trial, and on appeal.
Career
While at Barnes & Thornburg, Deborah spent an extended stay in Mannheim, Germany, where she worked for and advised an international client in U.S. litigation and patent matters. She is Co-Practice Chair of the firm’s European Practice Group, Vice Chair of the Indiana-Germany Business Counsel, and a Co-Host of the Parity Podcast, focused on achieving a more fair and equitable workplace for women.
