Dora Cavalcanti is a leading criminal lawyer in Brazil. For almost 30 years, she has been a sought-after attorney for complex white-collar and litigation cases. Her experience covers not only white-collar and money laundering cases, but also corruption scandals, cross-border investigations and every other section of the criminal spectrum. Professional Memberships

She is the president and one of the founders of the Innocence Project Brazil’s branch, a member of the US based Innocence Network, which is committed to exonerating people wrongly convicted and reforming the Brazilian criminal justice system. She is also a member of the Board of the Instituto de Defesa do Direito de Defesa (IDDD), an NGO focused on promoting access to justice and strengthening the right to a thorough defense in Brazil, which she also helped to create back in 2000 – along the years, she also served as President, Vice-President and President of the Board of IDDD.
