Practice Areas
Practice focuses on the tax aspects of U.S. and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs and other dispositions, leveraged buy-outs, joint ventures and financing transactions. He has been the principal tax lawyer on numerous major domestic and cross-border transactions in a diverse spectrum of industries, including telecommunications, technology, pharmaceuticals, banking and financial services, media and entertainment, real estate and retail.

Partner in the Tax Department at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. Joined the firm in 2000 and became a partner in 2006.

Member of the Tax Sections of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.

Received a JD equivalent from the Universität Hamburg, Germany in 1993, an LLM in corporation law from New York University School of Law in 1995 and an LLM in taxation from New York University School of Law in 1998.
