Emma Satyamurti is a partner, and joint Head of Leigh Day’s Employment and Discrimination department. She has been advising and representing clients in a wide range of employment disputes for over 15 years, including all aspects of discrimination, equal pay, dismissal, harassment, TUPE, whistleblowing and redundancy in the employment tribunal, and in complex county and high court litigation including multi-party claims. She has a strong track record of securing significant compensation for clients whether in settlement or at trial. She heads up a team of experienced lawyers working across the full spectrum of employment law areas, and is currently leading Leigh Day’s group equal pay claim against Morrisons. Emma has a particular interest in equal pay and disability discrimination. She is regularly invited to write and speak, for example participating in the Research Advisory Group for the Work Foundation project ‘The Changing Workplace: enabling disability-inclusive hybrid working’ and contributing to a discussion about equal pay on Woman’s Hour.
