Career

Eric Macaux focuses his practice on renewable energy and energy transition transactions, with an emphasis on advising project sponsors, developers, and investors on joint ventures, project and corporate debt and equity financings, and the acquisition and sale of energy projects and project portfolios. His deep experience in the renewable energy and sustainability space includes work on solar, wind (offshore and onshore), energy storage, electric vehicles (EVs), waste-to-energy, biogas, biofuels, energy-as-a-service, and distributed water treatment.

Eric concentrates much of his work on projects involving distributed energy assets, including novel structures for financing and deploying assets at scale. In addition to deep energy finance experience, Eric has a broad understanding of the critical commercial arrangements associated with energy projects, including power purchase and utility credit agreements, as well as fuel supply agreements, REC contracts, EPC agreements, operation and maintenance agreements (O&M), asset management agreements, and site leases and easements.

In the emerging technology space, Eric advises cutting-edge energy storage, energy generation, and sustainable technology clients and investors on corporate and commercial matters, including corporate financings and mergers and acquisitions.
