Ewa Rutkowska is an expert in pharmaceutical law, healthcare law, as well as product law and product liability. She has many years of experience in legal advice to Polish and international companies in the pharmaceutical industry, the medical devices sector, FMCG, and the new technology sector. She advises industry organizations, which she has repeatedly represented as the public party in the legislative process, as well as supporting them in working on industry codes of best practices.Ewa Rutkowska has many years of experience in product liability litigation, including highly publicised cases of global product recall from the market. She also represents Clients in other disputes before common courts and arbitration tribunals. She has represented Clients in many high-profile proceedings related to global product recalls from the market and non-performance of contracts between corporations from various jurisdictions.

Career

Before founding KRK, Ewa worked for Hogan Lovells (previously Lovells) for many years, creating and managing the pharmaceutical law and product liability practice. Later, together with her team of four, she joined Baker & McKenzie as a partner, where she worked for almost four years.

Professional Memberships

Ewa Rutkowska was a member of the Arbitration Committee of the Lewiatan Court of Arbitration from 2015 to 2019 and currently serves as the Chairperson of the Nominating Committee of this court. She is also a member of the Audit Committee of the Polish Arbitration Association.

She is one of the mediators/conciliators of the Center for Amicable Resolution of Food Disputes at the Polish Federation of Food Producers of the Employers' Union.

Ewa is an active member of the International Bar Association. From 2020 to 2021, she was a Membership Officer of the Product Law and Advertising Committee of the International Bar Association (previously, she was a Website Officer). She was also chosen as a Diversity and Inclusion Officer from 2022 through 2023. In February 2024, Ewa was appointed as the Vice Chair of the IBA Product Law and Advertising Committee.

She is also a member of The International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO) and a member of the Warsaw Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law.
