Practice Areas
Frank represents insurers, reinsurers and financial buyers in the purchase and sale of insurance and reinsurance companies and businesses. Frank concentrates on life and annuity and non-life insurance M&A transactions, including life and annuity closed blocks, and on the acquisition of P&C runoff portfolios and discontinued insurance businesses. Frank regularly advises asset managers on reinsurance and other transactions with insurers and reinsurers. Frank also has an active practice advising life insurers, reinsurers and lenders on reserve financing transactions, including work-outs and restructurings. He also advises financial guaranty and mortgage guaranty monoline insurers on product development, policy drafting and reinsurance matters. Frank regularly advises on insurance regulatory matters, including the insurance holding company act, legal investment questions, formation and licensing matters and the insurance law aspects of the Dodd-Frank Act. Frank is a co-leader of Mayer Brown’s M&A and Private Equity team for Mayer Brown’s Global Insurance Industry Group.
