Practice Areas
Frank Peters is Head of Impact & Litigation and co-founder of Rubicon Impact & Litigation. He has a strong focus on corporate litigation, class actions and ESG and acts on behalf of shareholders, companies and NGOs.
Frank has a wealth of courtroom experience at all levels and has had a long career in complex dispute resolution. He worked previously via litigation boutiques bureau Brandeis, Spigt Litigators and De Brauw, before establishing Rubicon Impact & Litigation.
Frank was closely involved in cases stemming from the bankruptcy of KPNQwest, represented hedge fund TCI in the break-up of ABN Amro and represented FossielvrijNL in the successful greenwashing case against KLM. He is currently involved in a case against Dutch shipping companies demanding equal pay for Filipino and Indonesia seafarers and in privacy class action cases against Google and Oracle.
He is a member of the “Climate and Law” committee at the Centre for Professional Legal Education at Radboud University in Nijmegen where he is developing a cutting edge law programme in relation to climate change.
Frank believes litigation can help bring about meaningful change when talk has become an excuse for inaction. His clients describe Frank as an outstanding strategist with a deep understanding of both the legal and business worlds.
Career
In 1997, Frank Peters was admitted to the Amsterdam bar. After a career in tax an corporate law at the Dutch big law firms, he moved into litigation. First with litigation boutique Spigt Litigators and in 2014 he (co) founded bureau Brandeis, Amsterdam and then, Rubicon IMpact & Litigation.
Frank is involved in several class actions and other high stakes litigations, including in the field of climate change, representing NGO’s on the claimants’ side.

Frank Peters (1973) speaks Dutch, English, French and (conversational) Russian and German. Frank Peters studied European Studies (management, economics and French) at London University, and civil and tax law at the University of Groningen. He is married with four children and a funny but poorly behaving dog, Abbie.
