Practice Areas
During his 30-year career, Mr. Mayback has participated in the issuance of over 1660 patents. His qualifications extend past his electrical engineering training to include diverse technical areas including medical devices and medicine, semiconductors, computer hardware and software, automotive power and security systems, power generation (nuclear and fossil fuel), and telecommunications. Mr. Mayback is a named inventor on twenty-four issued patents.
Mr. Mayback was the lead patent attorney in the patent infringement case Powell v. The Home Depot USA, Inc., in which the plaintiff was awarded damages and attorneys’ fees of over $24.5 Million for intentionally infringing a radial arm saw safety device. Mr. Mayback has also testified as an Expert Witness in various intellectual property matters.
Mr. Mayback’s activities with clients include launching a rocket over 21 miles above the Black Rock Desert and off-road motorcycle riding in the jungles of Costa Rica and on the Baja 1000 rally course.
