As a former US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) senior attorney, Mr. Wall uses his deep agency, regulatory and enforcement knowledge to help clients solve their most complex environmental matters. His clients greatly value his understanding of the intricate workings of the EPA, which gives him unique insights into how to best navigate their regulatory and enforcement issues.
As co-leader of Hunton Andrews Kurth’s Chemicals Practice, Mr. Wall provides strategic counsel on chemicals and pesticides regulation, CERCLA cost recovery and contribution actions, structuring compliance audits to help clients obtain penalty mitigation under voluntary disclosure programs, and defending clients in government enforcement actions, particularly under TSCA, FIFRA and RCRA. Mr. Wall is also deeply involved in the everchanging PFAS regulatory landscape and develops tailored solutions for clients to protect against PFAS liability. Additionally, Mr. Wall advises clients on environmental aspects of business transactions, conducting due diligence, negotiating liability allocations, and efficiently resolving post-closing environmental issues.
Mr. Wall’s multi-faceted environmental practice involves representing clients across a diverse industry base, including chemical manufacturing, food and agriculture, oil and gas, electric utility, semiconductor, real estate investment, financial services, retail and rail.
