Career
Gustavo Adolfo oversees the Customs and International Trade practice area. Gustavo has over 30 years of experience, starting his professional career with the National Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN) as a legal office attorney, and later with various firms such as Arthur Andersen, PwC, and EY. His roles include coordinating and planning consultancy in customs, exchange, and foreign trade matters for medium and large industries, directing and planning efficient operations in the supply chain, customs planning in international purchases, customs valuation studies, compliance review of customs, exchange, and foreign trade operations, analysis and implementation of foreign trade programs like special import-export systems, Plan Vallejo, Declaration of Free Trade Zones, audits of Free Trade Zones, enabling Public and Private Deposits, and advising companies to be authorized as Authorized Economic Operators, among others.
Gustavo has conducted special studies for the Government sector on attracting Foreign Direct Investment, efficient Free Trade Zones globally, and similar projects.
