Career

Hani Nassef is a Partner and Head of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group at Helmy, Hamza & Partners, Baker McKenzie Cairo. As a prominent corporate and M&A lawyer with over 20 years of experience in Egypt and across the MENA region, Hani brings a wealth of top-tier transactional knowledge and excellent corporate client relationships. He advises both strategic and financial investors on a wide range of regional and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity capital markets transactions and corporate reorganizations. Hani also has on-the-ground experience acting on inbound and outbound M&A and other corporate transactions across the MENA region and has acted for several clients on transactions that took place in Sub-Saharan Africa. IFLR1000 recognizes Hani as a "Highly Regarded" lawyer in its 32nd edition, in addition to "Up and Coming" by Chambers Global rankings for 2023 for his top-class knowledge and rapport with clients who praises him as a “Top-notch Partner”. Hani received his law degree from Cairo University's Faculty of Law in 2004. In addition, he earned his master's degree in law from Northwestern University's School of Law in 2008.
