Helga specialises in competition law, corporate finance and capital markets, corporate law, energy, European law and litigation. She has gained extensive experience by working on most of the larger competition cases in Iceland in recent years.

Career

Helga joined LOGOS in 2001, became Partner in 2002 and was Managing Partner 2013-2019. Qualified as an Attorney in 1999 and received LL.M. from Heidelberg University, Germany. Prior to joining LOGOS, she was a senior officer at the legal service of the EFTA Surveillance Authority in Brussels.

With long standing expertise in the field of competition and European law, Helga represents clients in a wide array of economic sectors. Pleading numerous cases before the Icelandic courts, the national competition authorities, the EFTA-Court and the EFTA Surveillance Authority (ESA). Helga has been on the board of several companies and organisations. She has also been on the board of the Chamber of Commerce since 2014 and was an ad hoc College Member of the EFTA Surveillance Authority.
