Practice Areas
Henry is the Head of Arnold & Porter’s UK employment law team. His practice covers all areas of employment including board room disputes, team moves and resolving complex workplace issues. HR professionals turn to Henry for his commercial, solution-driven approach, in areas ranging from business re-organisations, TUPE and redundancies, to tricky issues relating to family leaves, investigating and addressing workplace harassment, handling poor performance and managing ill-health at work. Henry also has considerable experience of co-ordinating cross-border employment projects, advising on consultations with works councils, unions and other employee representative bodies and drafting secondment/assignment agreements when clients are transferring staff internationally. As a former barrister, Henry is skilled at defending employer clients in the Employment Tribunal and enforcing non-competes and other restrictive covenants in the civil courts. Henry advises on the HR side of data privacy, advising clients on GDPR compliance programs and the transfer of HR data within corporate groups. Henry is is also in demand as a trainer on employment law topics, invited by clients to run custom-made, interactive training programs for line managers.
