Practice Areas
Mr. Gyselen joined the firm in 2004 after a distinguished career in government, having held several senior positions at the European Commission (EC)’s Directorate-General for Competition and a law clerk position with judge Joliet at the EU’s Court of Justice. His law practice encompasses advice and representation before the EC, national agencies (in particular in Belgium) and the EU courts on all aspects of competition law, with a focus mergers, cartels and state aids. Mr. Gyselen teaches at the Université de Liège. He is also a non-governmental advisor to the EC.
