Working for more than 23 years on projects in Asia, Jim has advised on multiple notable transactions, including power sales and construction arrangements for the Philippines' first operational supercritical thermal power plant, the investment in and successful exit by a NYSE-listed private equity firm in the Mahanakhon high-rise mixed-use project in Bangkok, development of a potential 1,250 MW LNG to power facility, construction documentation for the 78 MW Natural Energy Development solar project in Lopburi, Thailand, and electric power and transmission projects in Cambodia. He has advised on PPP and infrastructure in many countries in South-East Asia, including (a) advising the Ministry of Energy of Thailand during 2007 on solicitation and offered contract documents and procedures for soliciting bids to provide capacity and associated energy to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand by independent power producers; (b) advising on the concession, power purchase, and construction documentation for the 600 MW Monsoon Wind Project situated in Lao PDR with contracted offtake to Vietnam Electricity; (c) advising on development and structuring activities for an ongoing Lao-Vietnam railway project, and (d) drafting engineering, procurement, and construction documentation for the High Speed Rail Link Project of three major international and domestic airports in Thailand.
