Jeremy Leese is a Director of MJM and Head of its Corporate and Finance Department. His areas of experience include initial public offerings, capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, shipping and aviation finance, advising on offshore structures, project financing, banking transactions, group restructuring and general corporate work. He is also a regular contributor to, and author of, the Bermuda sections of guides in relation to Mergers & Acquisitions, Ship Finance and Secured Finance.
After Oxford, Jeremy worked for Clifford Chance, Pinsents and Eversheds in the UK, before working for Appleby in Bermuda, Hong Kong, Jersey and the BVI, as well as a spell with Ogier in Jersey. He returned to Bermuda with MJM after a short period as Head of Corporate at a firm in Anguilla, In addition to being called to the Bermuda Bar, Jeremy has been admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (BVI Circuit) and the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (Anguilla Circuit) (all now non-practising).
Jeremy is a member of the Bermuda Bar Association and the Law Society of England and Wales and, previously, the BVI Bar Association and the Anguilla Bar Association.
